Chester, founded as a Roman fortress and rich in all the mystery and mythology that goes with it, just had to be the perfect location for our own very special brand of molecular mixology and devilishly delicious menus. In fact, we couldn’t think of a better place for our 10th venue than right here.

So prepare to be bedazzled by The Alchemist cocktail bar and restaurant in Chester. Right where the mighty roman centurions once trained for battle and the less fortunate are rumoured to have reluctantly taken their chances with some rather peckish lions. But don’t worry, we rarely carry on with those traditions.

As Foodinate's first national restaurant partner, The Alchemist has taken our fight against local food poverty to deprived communities across the nation. You can now head to ANY of The Alchemist venues and enjoy either the Vegetable Gyoza or the Braised Beef Ragu knowing that a hot, nourishing meal will be provided for a person in need in the exact same community as a result - at no extra cost to you!
